Monitoring Committee

The European Union has set high standards for the planning, implementing and monitoring of finances. In accordance with these standards, and to ensure that procedures are as transparent as possible, the monitoring committee was established.

Chairman of the monitoring committee is the state secretary of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Innovation, Digitalization and Energy of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia. The monitoring committee has started its work at the inaugural meeting on November 20, 2014.

The monitoring committee is responsible for assessing and evaluating the selection criteria for projects and also for evaluating the progress that programs have achieved with regard to their objectives. Further tasks are: monitoring the effects of program implementation, assessing and approving of program changes.

Voting members of the monitoring committee are, with one vote each, the representatives of the following authorities:
