EFRE/JTF in Nordrhein-Westfalen

EFRE.NRW at the European Week of Regions and Cities

North Rhine-Westphalia shapes the future – EU Regional Policy in more developed regions: EFRE.NRW has participated at the European Week of Regions and Cities (9-12 October 2023). The European Week of Regions and Cities (#EURegionsWeek) is the biggest annual Brussels-based event dedicated to cohesion policy. It has grown to become a neutral platform to discuss common challenges for Europe's regions and cities by bringing together a diverse community of speakers and participants.

With over 7000 participants, 500 speakers and 220 workshops, the "European Week of Regions and Cities 2023" was again able to draw a very positive balance.

If you could not attend the event live in Brussels, please have a glance at the video recordings and photo gallery.

North Rhine-Westphalia has profited from EU Regional Policy since the early 1990s

ERDF (EFRE) helped the region's transformation. At the European Week of Regions and Cities ERDF/JTF representatives showed how EU support makes the region fit for the future with stories of successful change and funding measures to shape the future through innovation, climate action and urban development, including in coal mining areas. Interactive parts allowed an exchange on experience and needs of regions towards future EU Regional Policy after 2028.

We would like to thank all visitors for their great interest, the many good conversations and inspiring discussions at our booth.

See you again in 2024!
