Smart Emma - Ordering Fresh Products Online

The project "Smart Emma" aims  to establish an online market place  where consumers can easily order local fresh goods online and have them delivered to their home by bicycle.

Ordering fresh local groceries online and  CO2-free deliveries by bicycle will be achieved through a digital marketplace. This project was initiated by the Assoc. Institute for Management Cybernetics and the Centre for Learning and Knowledge Management (Zentrum für Lern- und Wissensmanagement (ZLW)) at the RWTH Aachen University. In cooperation with the local bicycle logistics company neomesh and the e-commerce specialists at Teleretail, the project team has got many grocery retailers on board for this idea, including bakeries, butchers, fishmongers, delicatessens and fruit and vegetable shops.
