Monitoring

Monitoring and evaluating have played a key part in past funding periods in NRW. Content and finances of the program are controlled by the monitoring system which will be continually improved upon and maintained during the funding period 2014 - 2020.

The work of the monitoring committee is based on evaluations by the monitoring system. These evaluations are also important for assessing the OP EFRE NRW and for finalizing reports for the European Commission.

Apart from verifying the data of the monitoring sheet ex-ante, there are regular checks of the payment status and its contribution to specific goals of the funded projects. This way, a close monitoring of the proposed outflow of funds can can be ensured as well as correct project management. Furthermore, this also helps to prevent any complaints concerning budget controls.

The state of each program implementation is outlined in the so-called monitoring reports. These reports contain analyses of the monitoring indicators of OP EFRE NRW 2014-2020 which are performed twice annually. The reports also depict the status of financial implementation. Data derived from these monitoring analyses is used for additional evaluation reports and for program communications.

Monitoring sheets for various topics can be found here. Please refer to your granting authority. It will help you find the appropriate monitoring sheets which you will need to fill out for your application.
